reiki-wedding

Tomorrow is Wedding Day… not for me (been there done that), and it will be today by the time this is posted, but that’s beside the point, now I’d like to take a look at the place of Reiki in a wedding, as one of my employees is tying the knot and I will have the honor of sipping the sake at yet another traditional Japanese wedding.

Here is my Top 10 List (in no particular order) of ways to enhance a wedding with Reiki just to give you an idea of what can be done to make the day just a bit more special.

  1. Reiki the music (that will help disperse the Reiki energies).
  2. Reiki the room (chapel, church, hall) where the event is taking place.
  3. Reiki your fellow attendees (so everyone can add to their enjoyment).
  4. Send distance Reiki before the Wedding to the ceremony and reception.
  5. Reiki the honeymoon (flights as well as nights).
  6. Send Reiki during the ceremony to the bride and groom as one. (…think about that one…)
  7. Reiki the Wedding feast… and don’t forget the cake!
  8. During their first dance, or other times when the couple are together, again, send them Reiki as one.
  9. Reiki your Wedding Gift (nothing outlasts a Reikied toaster).
  10. Give a special Reiki blessing to the wedding rings.
  11. Special #11 Reiki Bonus – Reiki yourself… you’ll enjoy it more!

Depending on how far you want to take this, there are many other things that can be done. I fully intend on giving the Wedding Rings a full Reiki attunement tomorrow if at all possible. Another technique, which I refer to as a “Reiki Wedding” is for couples only, and that is to give them a joint attunement. Sit the couple in chairs next to each other and attune them separately as well as together (generally left hand over the bride’s chakras and right hand over the groom’s). I haven’t tried that one yet, but I believe the energies will be wed by doing so, making for a unique Reiki blend and a very powerful experience when the two of them give Reiki together… in theory.

Many religions have their own customs and traditions for weddings, and those unique additions are key points to add Reiki to the mix. In Japanese Reiki it might be the sake, in Western Weddings, the bouquet or spoons (make sure they hold up to all that banging). Weddings are very special occasions and deserve to be as special as possible… the addition of Reiki can go a long way towards doing just that… besides relieving some of the stress, balancing out some of the emotional energy, clearing negative energies that might interfere with the perfect day, etc., the addition of Reiki adds a unique flavor to the event… one that will not go unnoticed… and think about it… is there a better gift you can give the happy couple than Reiki? :!:
