Reiki & the Weather

I‘d like to herein take a look at the relationship between Reiki and the Weather… for anyone out there with an upcoming outdoor event for which they would like to increase (or decrease) the odds for a sunny (or rainy) day. ๐Ÿ˜†

I’m not talking about some type of Reiki Rain Dance, although I’m sure that with all of the different styles of Reiki available there is one out there someplace which includes that particular practice. And it must be noted from the beginning that changing the weather is serious business and no doubt requires a licence in some areas… so be sure to check your local laws before attempting it… (halfway kidding). Also you should really be sure that this is something you want to do as continued sunshine for your own purposes might just have a negative effect on the ecosystem and butterflies in Brazil might not take too kindly to it… (more than halfway kidding).

If you want to change the weather for purely internal reasons (depressed when it rains, etc.) you might just want to work on yourself instead…. that’s why the second symbol was created… so feel free to use it as often as you like to work on any negative reactions to the weather… meditating on the particular debilitating condition may be enough to reverse it, while meditating with the addition of Reiki and generous application of the second symbol will tremendously strengthen it and add the powerful Reiki energies to the mix.

For those of you serious about actually influencing the weather (ah, finally… the main point of this article) I would like to direct you to the ancient Hawaiian shamanic practice of grokking. Actually I’m not sure if the term grokking is originally from Huna (ancient Hawaiian Shamanism) or derived from the novel Stranger in a Strange Land, by Robert A. Heinlein. The name may not be Hawaiian, but the practice is… and that’s what counts. ๐Ÿ™‚

In Huna, grokking refers to the practice of becoming one with the weather and then, since weather is basically mindless (or moreso than the average picnic basket), you have the ability to influence it to do whatever you like. There are reports of Shamans redirecting hurricanes and typhoons as well as one California Shaman that used it to redirect a rainstorm over a forest fire to help end the destruction.

In order to use grokking with Reiki you connect with Reiki before connecting with the weather pattern. Keep in mind that the first symbol can be used two different ways… spiraling outward will disperse the Reiki energy (and weather condition) while spiraling inward will concentrate them… just something to bear in mind. Once you are connected you allow Reiki to take over and direct the situation to its highest good. In Huna the will of the Shaman is enforced, while in Reiki, the intelligence inherent in the Reiki system will make the ultimate decision of how best to handle things. At any rate… as with all Reiki practices, the more you practice this one the more proficient you will become… so have at it!! ๐Ÿ˜

FOR REIKI MASTERS ONLY: There is another Reiki practice that relates to cold winter weather patterns found in those areas which are still able to produce snow (which are decreasing from what the global warming activists would have us believe) and that is the practice of attuning your snowman. Ah, you laugh now, but wouldn’t it be nice to have a Reiki Practitioner in your yard giving Reiki to everyone that passes by your house? ๐Ÿ˜†

For further explanation or discussion, your thoughts are most welcome and highly encouraged, please feel free to comment below!!!

  1. Thanks for the heads up on the second symbol for those blue/grey March days that seem to last longer than a month! At least in our part of the planet.

I’m enjoying the blog, thanks Duane.
