Besides the beer test discussed here (which makes a wonderful game in and of itself) there are many ways the Reiki energies can be used in a fun way. Besides being entertaining these provide many practical benefits for ones own Reiki practice… here are a few examples.

Reiki Games

One of the more popular games to be played at Reiki shares, Reiki lessons or Reiki demonstrations, is the Identification Game. You put two objects down, and with eyes closed try to identify which is which. This is best to do with objects that have more distinct energies, some of my favorites are fruits, money (especially more diverse denominations), dice, closed bottles of essential oils… and people!!!
You begin by getting a feel for the individual energies, and then with eyes closed (or blindfolded) try to determine which is which as they are changed around.

A similar game involves crystals. In this game one crystal is charged with Reiki energy and the other(s) is not. Than participants try to ascertain which is which.

Another variation of this Reiki game involves identifying Reiki symbols drawn on paper. Turn the paper over, mix them up and see if you can tell which is which.

Another game is played by sending Reiki energy to someone in the room and see if they can sense it.

Reiki Practice

The benefits of games such as these are many. Not the least of which is that it gets Reiki practitioners used to working with the subtle Reiki energies. Of course this requires practice… and that is why it is called a Reiki practice. 😆 When more advanced practitioners demonstrate this ability to newer students it shows them that it can be done… and since seeing is believing, this is a very powerful way to endorse what is being taught.

This is especially true for children, since they are much more open to new thoughts and ideas. When they are shown that it can be done, they will excel in it and this is just the beginning of the cultivation of Reiki energies that will be able to achieve.
