Welcome to the 2008 Reiki Alphabet Challenge!!! Its great to have you here!!! This challenge is designed to give you something new to Reiki every day by giving you a new letter to focus on each day. Hopefully, by the end of the challenge you will have Reikied things you hadn’t considered before and thereby increased the boundaries of your Reiki world. So let’s get started…

Today’s letter is “T” and our focus is on Thanks and once again, here’s Lynda to fill us in on the details…

At first I fought to find another word for today’s Reiki challenge, but my guides were having none of it! I said, “but it’s US Thanksgiving weekend, isn’t there something else I could cover?” And they said, “No!”

I have worked hard over the last three years at integrating a daily gratitude practice into my life. I find that giving thanks to the universe for all that it has given to me as often as I can helps to keep me focused and happy.

Reiki historically teaches us the importance of this daily practice. In Usui Sensei’s precepts we are instructed to give thanks for everything. The precepts and the practice of gassho allows us to stay connected to the positive energetic flow of the universe.

So for today’s challenge I would like you to first take a sheet of paper and write down everything you have to be grateful for. Even if your life feels lousy at this moment find something – maybe that the Internet is working or that your coffee tastes good, even just that you woke up this morning! Then recite the 5 precepts and really think about how and where they might apply in this moment of this day for you. Finally, send Reiki to these positive thoughts so that they may grow and continue!

Give thanks every single moment. Reiki is a miracle!
