In the discussion of the Quantum Nature of Reiki Energy (discussed here and/or here) many Reiki ideas seem highly unprobably and unrealistic and I think that this has to do with the rules of logic as they apply to Reiki… as opposed to the rules of logic found in a non-quantum (Aristotelian or Newtonian) paradigm. In this post I’d like to take a quick look at this aspect of Reiki.

Having lived for some time within the confines of any one logic system and then being exposed to another can be extremely unsettling… (this is the basis for the culture shock experienced when relocating) yet if this simple fact is accepted (that is, that this is merely another logic system or another way of looking at things) it can be much easier to understand, and possibly even accept as a “new way”.

Ideas such as simply holding your hands over an injured area for healing, or sending healing over great distances (even back in time) and even the idea of enlightenment itself are so out there for so many people that the mere mention of them will bring scowls, laughter and derision seemingly impropotionate to the idea being broached. This generally indicates insecurity in the system being challenged and rather than a sign to back off (as most people are wont to do) it may be an indication that the system is ripe for a good challenge.

Some people love to argue (and I know quite a few Reiki practitioners who are like pitbulls when they sink their teeth into a good Reiki debate) but I think, in general, most Reiki Practitioners, by Reiki’s very pacifistic nature, would rather steer clear from any type of confrontional situation (which while being more peaceful makes it more less likeley that the word boldly go where no thought has gone before).

The key to understanding Reiki Logic is to suspend all reliance on your current rules of logic and just imagine that the system being presented is possible. Imagine what it would be like t’were it so. People who are able to do this will understand, just by the act of imagining, and that will act as a catalyst to put all the other rules of Reiki Logic in perspective. John Lennon’s song Imagine did just that… the simple act of imagining a world such as the one he was singing about lit a spark and acted as a catalyst to the actual creation of that world, which although it doesn’t seem like it at times, I do believe is the direction we are ultimately heading in.

People that can’t imagine this or simply can’t accept this are simply not ready… and there is nothing wrong with that…someday they willl be… some day… we all will be.
