*SPOILER – This post may not turn out to be as much about Reiki as I would like… I won’t know until I’ve finished… although I’m sure I’ll find some way to fit it in… I usually do… ๐
Double “R” Reiki sounds kind of like some kind of esoteric dude ranch… however, in this case… that’s not the case. It’s just been pointed out to me how many of my post titles are comprised of Reiki and another “R” word… Reiki Remuneration, Reiki Revolution, Reiki Reminders, Reiki Rapture, Reiki Radar, Reiki Reiju, Reiki Reiji, Reiki Rebels, Reiki Routine, and then there are several with an extra word or two thrown in, like Relaxing with Reiki, Reiki on the Run, Reiki and Religion, Reiki and Reflexology. Pretty cool, hunh? That’s a lot of double “R” titles! I wonder if that means something…
OK… now for the application to Reiki… Hmm… Here goes…
One idea for a post that I’ve been keeping on the back burner was originally entitled Reiki Train, and was a follow up to the Reiki Revolution post with a theme about a train (I don’t know about where you live but there are a lot of those here in Japan) that was dedicated to Reiki. Just as the Volkswagen Van was the vehicle of choice (and symbol to some extent) of the hippie revolution, the Reiki Train is there for all the Reiki Revolutionaries to ride to spread the word and spread the healing at the same time while enjoying the company of other like minded individuals on a relaxing ride through the countryside. The song People Get Ready (a quick googling shows that several performers have recorded it, but I’m only familiar with the Bob Dylan version) has been playing over and over in my mind throughout this post… so quoting a few lines sheds some light on the relationship…
People get ready
There’s a train a-coming
Don’t need no baggage
You just get on board
All you need is faith
To hear the diesels humming
Don’t need no ticket
You just thank the LordPeople get ready
For the train to Jordan
Picking up passengers
From coast to coast
Faith is the key
Open the doors and board them
There’s room for all
Among the loved the most
Which is kind of the image I have for the Reiki Train… except perhaps instead of heading to Jordan, it is heading to Mt. Kurama. I remember one time when a group of Hiroshi Doi’s students (and Hyakuten Inamoto and some of his students too) all went up to Mt. Kurama and we took over one of the train-cars heading up the mountain. Added to the awesome Kurama energies was the energies of some some of Japan’s greatest Reiki Masters and the resulting energy was almost unbearable (in a good way).
Ah yes… the application to this post… I decided to change the name from Reiki Train to Reiki Railroad!!! ๐
