Seems to me that recently the ratio of good news to bad news reported by my local newspaper is recently skewing increasingly towards the bad news. Mother Nature doesn’t seem to be helping out much with her endless stream of floods, earthquakes, typhoons, hurricanes, volcanoes, etc. which makes making the newspaper a somewhat depressing event… thank God for the daily dose of Calvin and Hobbes! 😆

On the other hand, or OTOH as I seem to be seeing more and more lately, this gives Reiki Practitioners everywhere, plenty of opportunity to practice their distance healing. Whenever I open the newspaper, I’m sure to be connected to Reiki… where it is ready to be blasted instantly to those in need. Last week, as I was reading about the rampage in Tokyo I was sending Reiki to the families of all involved in hopes of easing the pain for someone somewhere. The week before that it was the earthquake in China and as there is never a shortage of bad news or natural disasters, there is never a shortage of work to be done for the caring Reiki practitioner with such an inclination.

While perusing the newspaper, I don’t limit my Reiki to the bad news either. The Lakers have been getting their fair share recently as has my (ahem) favored political candidate. The stock market receives a healthy dose on a regular basis (is it working? well, where would it be without it?) as does my Sudoku puzzle… and yes, even little Calvin got a blast as he headed off for a miserable vacation with his folks. 🙄

The hidden persuasive techniques I have so skillfully embedded is to give and give often! Instead of reading the newspaper with a “well, there’s nothing I can do about it” attitude, know that… there really is!!! 💡
