Today was a perfect day for going to the zoo… so that’s exactly what we did! And for several of the animals that were there it was a lucky thing we did as I happened to bring a generous supply of Reiki energy with me… and I think it was a good thing too, as some of those animals looked like they really needed it!
Something about animals locked in cages that makes me a bit sad… I know there’s not much I can do about it, and the enjoyment (and knowledge) it gave the kids was wonderful… and yet… some of the more prescient animals tend to make me wonder… who is really in the cage? Who is it that really needs to be enlightened?
As I went from enclosure to enclosure there were times I felt a dose of Reiki was needed, either for physical woes or emotional ones, although none of the animals seemed to notice… except for one wizened old orangutan who seemed to know what I was doing but gave me a “why bother” look in response. The penguins kept up their regal march, the koalas kept right on dreaming, the tigers kept up their vigilant pacing, and the chimpanzees seemed to have learned a few new hand gestures… must’ve been a group from New York visiting… ๐
I highly recommend bringing Reiki with you wherever you go… especially to places like zoos where there are no doubt more than a few wondrous creatures in need… and don’t be stingy… give ’em a good dose (perhaps it will help them forget the other daily doses they must learn to live with… ๐ฅ Reiki Masters out there might also consider giving a Reiki attunement to some of them as well… it can’t hurt and that might just allow them to organize their own little Reiki shares after the park closes! ๐

I do that too! Many times, I’ve been rewarded with a look from the animal seemingly acknowledging the energy, and on a few occassions the animal would move closer.
Thats wonderful! I haven’t noticed them moving closer…. I’ll have to check for that!
Thanks for the comment Debby!!
