Just as blending various essential oils in aromatherapy leads to different results, so too does blending Reiki energy with the energies of other healing modalities (or spiritual practices if you want to take things one step further. I call these blends, Reiki Salads… and the quintessential Reiki Salad comes in as many flavors as the mind can fathom.

In this post I’d like to take a look at the concept of blending disciplines, and the creation of the perfect Reiki Salad, from a more general point of view.

No healing modality (including the highly esteemed medical profession) claims to have all the answers and to be the end all and cure all (pardon the pun 😆 ) as far as healing is concerned. Anyone that believes their way is the only way is either sadly mistaken, or they know something that I do not. Either way its quite nice to experiment with different energy systems and to consequently witness positive results.

The ability to multitask is becoming a more and more sought after skill, and I find this to be true in the healing arts as well. Luckily, Reiki has a tendency to play nice with others and so it is quite possible to keep up a Reiki stream of healing while your mind is temporarily occupied elsewhere. I highly encourage experimentation as far as Reiki healing is concerned and if you happen upon a recipe for a Reiki Salad worthy of a Michelin Star, please don’t hesitate to let me know about it. 🙂
