Just a quick round of applause for The Rex Center, a new aquatic fitness facility for dogs which opened in April in Pacifica, California. Per a blurb in [X]press Magazine, the Reiki Center is “a canine sanctuary for massages, acupressure, aromatherapy, dog training, warm water swimming, nutrition consultation, and Reiki, a Japanese energy healing technique–some drool-worthy services, even for humans.”

Of course I find any application of Reiki a cause for celebration, but this one really caught my eye. Whether for physical rehabilitation, exercise or just plain fun, this place has just what the doggy doctor ordered. While their website isn’t really that appealing the services surely are and I really think its not only a wonderful idea for dogs… but for Reiki as well! Good job, Rex Center!!!
