I was never very good at math, although it seems that Einstein recently (relatively ๐ ) developed some mathematical equation for proving that there are more than 3 dimensions and that the 4th dimension is actually time. I must have been asleep when we studied that unit in math class because I haven’t got the foggiest idea how that would be done. I can, however, appreciate the concept and, even though I don’t understand the nuts and bolts of it I can still put it to good use. I don’t have to know exactly what is in Okonomiyaki to know it tastes great!! โ
Time is, by common perception, basically a straight line, with the past and future being at extreme ends and the present in the middle. According to current thinking, it is this perception alone that creates the illusion of a time-line, as in nature, time-lines just don’t t exist. If we were to apply a shape to time, it most resembles a cloud. Since the past only exists in our memories, there really is no concrete past. Your memory and my memory may be at odds, so which is correct? As Kangaroo rather emphatically remarks in Horton Hears A Who… “If you can’t see, hear or feel something, it doesn’t exist!” and remarkably in this case, she is more right than she realized. You can’t touch the past… you can only touch the present, so only the present is real. In Reiki, one of the 5 Reiki Principles is “Don’t Be Angry” and this completely supports this theory. Anger solely resides in our memories, i.e., in the illusory past. We recall something (whether something that happened 2 minutes ago or 20 years ago) and subsequently have an angry reaction toward it. So in essence, since the past only exists in that memory, the very thing we are angry about doesn’t even exist any more.
Similarly, the future only exists in our imaginations, there is no concrete future (no matter what the palm-reader told you). You can’t touch the past… you can only touch the present, so again, Kangaroo was right and only the present is real. Another of the 5 Reiki Principles is “Don’t Worry” and this also supports this theory. Worry completely resides in our imaginations, i.e., the future. We imagine that something bad will happen (whether in 2 minutes or 20 years) and snowballingly start to worry about it. So in essence, since the future only exists in our imagination, the very thing we are worried about doesn’t even exist.
Whether Dr. Usui understood such things when he adopted the Reiki Principles or not can only be conjecture, at least until Indiana Jones and the Lost Reiki Journal of Dr. Usui proves otherwise, but regardless, the application is absolutely brilliant. Reiki is, in essence, teaching us that there is is nothing to be angry about and nothing to worry about so we shouldn’t waste our energies doing it. Brilliant!!
A complete understanding of Reiki in the 4th Dimension may be beyond the reach of many (since we are all running 3D software in a 4D system, to use a computer metaphor). Dr. Usui, being the enlightened soul he was, was able to see things much more clearly that unenlightened folks can’t, and his ability to put them in a coherent format, such as Reiki, is the true mark of an enlightened master. Being able to understand or do something and being able to effectively teach it to or convince others are two very different things… just ask Horton. ๐

One response to “Reiki in the 4th Dimension”
I have used the Hon Sa Zei Sho Nen during meditaiton to help put myself into a timeless state of just being – it is remarkably effective for this!ย ย (Try it out for yourself and see what happens ๐ )ย I have found that when using Reiki this state seems to occur naturally, as Reiki itself is timeless. Reiki always brings me toย the present moment and helps to keep me focused there (not that I remain there all the time, though I try ).
