Today I’d like to present another advanced Reiki technique involving the study of Reflexology. You might want to have a quick look at my Reiki and Reflexology post for a brief introduction. It is advanced because it creates a laser sharp aspect to your Reiki Practice.
Reflexology deals with specific areas of the feet (or hands) that correspond to various parts of the body. This Hana Reiki technique, which I refer to as the Reiki Feets Technique has two part.. one for scanning and one for healing.
Reiki Feets Scanning
In order to perform Reiki Feets Scanning you need to really learn to pinpoint energetic imbalances. Scanning is normally done with the hand and you can see my post on Byosen Scanning for a brief introduction to that. In the Reiki Feets Scanning technique you start to train your index finger as a scanner. To begin you scan one of the feet with your whole hand or palm as you normally do, and when you find an energy disturbance, switch to your finger to pinpoint exactly where on the foot that hibiki is. It really is not that difficult once you get the basics of scanning down, try using your finger tip pointing at the spot or your the end of your finger parallel to it and see which works better for you.
Reiki Feets Healing
Once you find an energetic disturbance there are two parts to the healing process. First you want to use your intent to change your finger from scanning mode to healing mode (output rather than input) and using the same laser like focus, beam the Reiki energy deeply into the spot where you located the disturbance. Continue to do so for as long as you feel it is necessary. After a while, switch back to scanning mode and see what the status is… has the hibiki diminished in intensity? When the hibiki is gone, you are done.
The second part of the Reiki Feets Healing process is in healing the spot of the body indicated by the reflex point. If you don’t know them you can use a chart to find out exactly what part of the body the spot you located on the foot corresponds to. Then apply Reiki to that area in the normal way. You may also want to scan it periodically to see if there is hibiki resonating from there as well.
A Few Extras
As an addition you may also wish to treat the same reflex point on the hand. Again, use a map if you don’t know which points on the feet correspond to which parts of the hand.
Optionally, you may also want to start this excersise with the hands instead of the feet, scanning the hands for hibiki using the same method outlined above.
As quite a few clinical studies have indicated, there are also parts of the brain that correspond to parts of the body. There are maps of these as well and you may want to try it with the head as well. Personally, I have not had as much success with this, but you may have better results and you won’t know unless you try, for as you know, with all things Reiki… your mileage may vary! ![]()
