Reiki has a lot of abilities beyond those associated with healing and/or spirituality. While not specifically qualifying as traditional Reiki, some of the more newly developed styles of Reiki include some of these in their lessons and as there is no law set in stone about what does and what doesn’t qualify as Reiki, I thought I would take a one of those applications (and its logical extensions) today.
One of Reiki’s unadvertised extras is the ability to find lost objects and the good news is that this technique is not limited to finding car keys and TV remote controls. In principle it works similarly to Reiji or Reiki Radar where you just let your intuition guide the Reiki, but in the case of finding lost objects, Reiki is reporting back to you on what it finds, allowing you to locate the object quickly and painlessly. This works for finding people, too, as I’ve found when my daughter went missing in the supermarket. Although I’m not sure if it was the Reiki or her screams that eventually guided me to her. ๐ I find that this Reiki technique works much better if you have established a Reikiconnection to the object in question beforehand. For example, if you give Reiki to your wallet at some point, than in the future it will be easier to locate using this Reiki technique (not to mention the fact that, as far as the wallet itself goes, giving Reiki to it will increase its potential to attract similar vibrations… i.e., more money, as discussed in my post on Reiki & Money).
An extension of this idea is its application in finding forgotten objects as opposed to lost objects. This is where the idea of Reiki Shopping comes into play. If you’re like me, the last question you ask yourself when you finish shopping is “did I forget anything?”. Allowing Reiki (and your Reiki intuition) to guide you to forgotten objects works the same way as guiding you to lost objects. And again, applying Reiki to boost your remembering ability works wonders. In this case, when I notice I’m out of staples, I apply Reiki to that thought or image and then when I’m shopping the Reiki magnets can do their thing. Just don’t use this as an excuse to continue shopping when you know good and well you should be doing something else. ๐
Another extension of this is more of a practice exercise in developing your Reiki intuition abilities and that is the application of this technique in finding unknown information. An example is found in doing a word search puzzle. The old fashioned, run of the mill, state of the art, standard, you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all practice is to scan the letters until you find the word you are looking for (or one that happens to jump out at you). Using Reiki, you can allow your intuition to guide you to a word. Many people who try this technique soon give up in despair, but the key is to use it as a Reiki intuition development exercise… and like all exercises, it takes some time to yield results.
As you can well imagine, this technique holds tremendous power… how else do you think Indiana Joes was able to find the the Lost Reiki Journal of Dr. Usui? ๐ก I’m sure there are many other applications of this intuitive ability… why don’t you post them to the comment section below if you’ve got one you’d like to share?
For further explanation or discussion, your thoughts are most welcome and highly encouraged, please feel free to comment below!!!

is there a particular symbol one would use to help this technique?
i have found that i’ve acquired quite a knack for finding things since i was first attuned, which is a big help as my girlfriend has a tendency to lose things…
if i can’t rationally deduce where something is or feel like i’ve forgotten something but can’t remember what it is, i take a little walk around the area, clear my head,ย and i’ll usually find it
Hiroshi Doi teaches the use of the Power Symbol for this. I’ve found that a reverse power symbol works best for me in locating things… that is, spiraling outward instead of inward. Try them both and let me know which works best for you…
